Privacy Policy
1. Data Controller
Manguito Studio is a service based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. For privacy-related inquiries, contact juan.manguitostudio@gmail.com.
2. Roles in Data Processing
Manguito Studio acts in two distinct capacities:
- Data Controller: with respect to the personal data of its own clients (businesses or individuals who purchase services), Manguito Studio determines the purposes and means of processing.
- Data Processor: with respect to the end-users of the bots (the client's customers), Manguito Studio processes data solely on the client's instructions; the client is the controller with respect to those individuals.
3. Data We Collect
From Manguito Studio clients:
- Name and email address
- Billing information (Argentine tax ID, fiscal address)
- Business information provided during onboarding
- Support and communication history
From bot end-users:
- WhatsApp phone number and display name
- Message content processed by the bot
- Technical logs of conversations
4. Purposes of Processing
Personal data is used to:
- Provide and maintain the contracted automation services
- Manage the business relationship, invoicing, and billing
- Provide technical support
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
- Ensure system security
5. Recipients
Data may be shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. (WhatsApp Business Platform), as messaging infrastructure provider, and with the technology service providers necessary to operate the service (web hosting, database, payment processing).
Manguito Studio does not sell personal data to third parties or share it for advertising purposes.
6. Retention
Client data is retained for the duration of the contract and up to five (5) years after its termination, to comply with legal and tax obligations. Messages processed by bots are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and are deleted when the client closes their account or requests earlier deletion.
7. Security
Manguito Studio implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, accidental loss, or destruction. These include: in-transit encryption via HTTPS/TLS, access controls with authentication, and periodic security reviews.
8. Data Deletion and Your Rights
To request deletion of your data, email juan.manguitostudio@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and include your WhatsApp phone number and, if you are a client, your business name. We delete your messages and contact data from our systems within 30 days and send you a confirmation email when done. Data that Meta Platforms stores on its own servers (WhatsApp message history, account data) must be deleted through Meta's own tools.
Under Argentine Law 25.326 on Personal Data Protection, data subjects may also exercise rights of access, rectification, confidentiality, and objection by writing to juan.manguitostudio@gmail.com. Responses will be issued within the timeframe established by applicable law.
The Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP) — Argentina's data protection authority, located at Sarmiento 1118, Buenos Aires — supervises compliance with Law 25.326. Data subjects may file a complaint with the AAIP if they believe their data has not been handled in accordance with the law.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. The current version is always identified by the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of Manguito Studio services after a new version is published constitutes acceptance of the changes.
